Five years ago they named themselves “The Advocates” because they saw themselves as Advocates of the children served by the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center, NKYCAC. This is exactly the mission they have carried out through countless hours of planning and volunteering for fundraising events such as Child Abuse Awareness night at Florence Freedom or with the Cincinnati Cyclones, partnering with local restaurants and companies to gain support or by pouring themselves into their annual Gala where all proceeds benefit the services at NKYCAC. The group holds monthly meetings, planning and organizing events and energizing members to carry the mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center out into the community. Membership of this dynamic group of women is growing throughout the eight counties served by the NKYCAC.
